Who am I?
Hey everyone, Hisham Walid Ghanyem here! By day, I’m a data analyst wrangling numbers and uncovering insights for the Lufthansa Group in Frankfurt, Germany. But outside the world of spreadsheets, I’m an F1 enthusiast, a fitness fanatic (with a background in boxing and Jujitsu!), and a lover of a good novel.

From Growth Hacking to Data Wizardry
My path to data analysis wasn’t entirely conventional. For four years, I thrived in the fast-paced world of growth marketing, working with companies like Propertyfinder, a real estate portal where I ensured the right ad reached the right person at the right time across the Middle East. But as the digital landscape evolved, I saw a clear trend: automation was taking center stage.
The challenge, however, wasn’t just implementing automation – it was giving those machines the right direction. And that, I realized, couldn’t be done without a deep understanding of data. What truly ignited my passion was the ability to look at raw data, visualize it, and craft a compelling story around it.
So, I decided to take the leap. I started with the fundamentals – Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and a comprehensive SQL course on Udemy. These tools became my gateway into the fascinating world of data analysis.
Advice for Aspiring Data Rockstars
For anyone considering entering the data game, here’s my message: it’s never too late to join the party! Data is all around us, influencing our daily lives. The key is to keep that curiosity burning bright. Learn how to transform dry numbers into a captivating narrative – because trust me, data visualizations can be way cooler than they sound!
The Road Ahead
My ultimate goal? To leverage my data mastery and climb the career ladder to a decision-making position. I want to be the voice that translates complex data insights into actionable strategies, making a real difference in the world.
